The New Driver Course is the most comprehensive package for adult drivers not wanting the GLP course. It's 100% hands-on, in-car driving lessons with a professional certified instructor. This is a great course for people of all ages who want to become a confident, safe driver and don't have a consistent co-pilot or vehicle for practice.

This course helps ease you into driving in a less risky way – first with a qualified supervisor, then on your own. This course engages new drivers in a fun and interactive way, focusing on safe driving skills, developing a responsible attitude behind the wheel and preparing for the ICBC road test.

The New Driver (NDC) Course includes:

• 15 hrs of professional one-on-one in-car training

The Basic New Driver Course is 15 hrs of personalized in-car training. With 100% hands-on lessons from a certified professional instructor. To book a road test package with IXL, simply reach out via text, call or email the office, with text being the preferred method.  

Includes:

• IXL taking care of booking your RT with ICBC
• 60-min warmup lesson prior to test
• Support in the ICBC registering process 
• The use of the IXL car for your road test (45 minutes in length)

Note: It's important to note that ICBC fees are the student's responsibility and are not included in the package price. Additionally, students must read and sign the ICBC Student Consent and Release Form before proceeding.

Don’t have a car for your Road Test? Rent IXL’s vehicle by texting, calling,  or emailing the office. IXL recommends having a lesson prior to your road test for an evaluation and familiarizing yourself with the vehicle. 

Car rental package includes:

• IXL vehicle will be delivered at ICBC for the time of your exam.
• Use of the vehicle for the duration of the exam with an ICBC instructor.
